You could send one of those photo cards of your real family.  You know:  Dad squinting at the camera like he defies it to take the picture.  Mom caught mid-complaint.  Sis picking her nose.  Brother with that creepy "lost" expression.  But the point is to be cheery and festive.  Not to make the recipients frightened and depressed.
