Christmas is all about family.  And furniture is all about family.  Without furniture, there would be no Christmas. Wasn’t Christ born in a piece of furniture?  Actually, is a manger considered furniture?  Probably only if you’re a farm animal. Actually, the bible didn't originally specify that Mr. and Mrs. Christ used a manger as a crib.  The Greek word for "feeding place" was translated to mean "manger," but a feeding place could mean a lot of other things.  Like "bucket."  What if Jesus and his swaddling clothes slumbered in a bucket?  I'll bet the furniture lobby and the bucket lobby had one good smack-down over this issue, both of them wanting to use Jesus for free advertising.  I guess the furniture lobby won.  Unless a manger isn't really furniture.
