So did you know that your tear ducts aren't where tears come from?  They're where your tears drain out!  My eye doctor kept calling them sphincters, which I'm just childish enough to find endlessly amusing.  In an attempt to cure my severe dry eye syndrome, I got these things called duct plugs which are supposed to plug up your eye sphincters so that your tears stay on your eyes and kept them nice and MOIST.  (Ugh, hate that word.)  It didn't work, but I dined out on the whole "sphincter" thing for about three months.
